I'm going south
'cause I can't stay north
and I'm travelling on
Anywhere that I can
THE TIME HAS COME
FOR ME, TO FLY
AND IF I DON'T LEAVE
THEN SHURELY I WILL DIE
WE KNOW WHERE
THE TRUCKS LEAVE
AND WE KNOW HOW
TO FIND THE ROAD
AND YOU KNOW THAT PLACE
THAT I CALL MY HOME
Well, I'm heading east
'cause I'm tired of the west
and i need some change
Anywhere that I can
I'm cooling down
'cause I can't stay up
and I'm dreaming on
Anywhere that I can!

I remember when I first discovered Holy Locust, seeing a live performance that I was having trouble seeing over the heads of Bridge City Sinners lmao! But I have been in love with this album ever since I heard it. My homie has it on in his car constantly. The music is so rich and textured and beautiful, I'll never get over how amazing it is! Truly a masterpiece! werederg

holy locust are incredible with imagery and metaphors, and this album is particularly good at expressing the horror of the world we live in through the most beautiful imagery and sound. i love the instruments used and the way folk blends with punk with this band. holy locust please come to the UK so i can hear the music live <3 you-are-a-saucy-boi
Beautifully played and full of moving vocal performances, the Bay Area singer/songwriter's latest is a stellar work of art. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 3, 2023
